Apple Day 5 October 2025

This year’s GRowsley Apple Day will take place on Sunday 5 October, 11am to 3pm.

On the day you can enjoy a range of events and activities:

  • Apple pressing
  • Pasteurised local apple juice to buy
  • We can press your apples and pears for you!
  • Tea, cake and refreshments
  • Apple games
  • Free apples to take away

We are a small, friendly, local group of residents of Rowsley and other neighbouring villages.

We are also looking for help with our Apple Harvesting during September; we just collect apples locally in Rowsley, from resident’s gardens (with permission).

We usually pick in the evenings, when the weather allows! We only have a few volunteers this year so if you can spare an hour to pick apples one evening, that would be great! No experience necessary – just email the village hall with your name and phone number. We’ll get in touch.

When we have enough volunteers, we also sort apples for donations to local shops, schools or food banks. If you would like to help on the Community Apple Day on the 5th October, to slice, scrat and press apples please get in touch: enquiries@rowsleyvillagehall.org
