Warm Spaces launches in Rowsley

Following a number of successful grant applications and generous donations, Rowsley Village Hall will be holding a weekly Cake & Company Warm Hub starting on Tuesday 10 January, from 9.30am to 1.00pm, which will run until Tuesday 28 March.

Rowsley Village Hall will offer a warm, safe place where all members of our community will receive a friendly and inclusive welcome. People can come along on their own, or with friends, and talk to others over a hot drink and homemade cake.

We are also hoping to offer practical tips and advice on saving energy costs and keeping safe and warm at home from Derbyshire County Council.

Everyone is very welcome to come along and meet in a warm environment to enjoy refreshments, social activity, information, advice, and the company of other people.

Working from home?

If so, the Community Café Warm Hub is also for you as we will also be setting up an area of the warm hub as a community hot-desking space with access to free wi-fi.

Get away from Zoom or Teams for a few hours, come along, bring your laptop and meet some new colleagues in our community who are also working from home and would like a change of scenery.

Can you help?

In order to help make our community warm hub a success we are looking for volunteers to:

  • Help out as part of our volunteer rota to help in the hall
  • Provide transport to/from the Community Cafe
  • Make/bake cakes
  • Donate good quality books/games/jigsaws

If you would like to find out more or you need a lift please email enquiries@rowsleyvillagehall.org
